Jessica Collins' family overwhelmed with support after serious spinal injury

Peter Collins was reluctant to accept charity after his daughter Jessica’s devastating spinal injury.

Part of the proud father-of-three from Newcastle feared an acceptance of donations was an acceptance that Jessica was not going to recover.

Jessica was moved out of intensive care at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane on Tuesday to a special care unit but a lung infection led to minor pneumonia and shift back to ICU early Wednesday morning.
