International 'Global War, Global Connections, Global Moments conference heading for UON's New Space

THE University of Newcastle’s $95-million New Space building on Hunter Street is set to become a ‘theatre of war’ as part of a three day international conference focusing on the centenary of the First World War.

After the success of a similar conference at the University of Zurich earlier this year, organiser Thomas Schmutz revealed the second event will bring a “special focus on scholarship from Australia, New Zealand and Asia”, and hopes there will be an even wider range of scope.

The three day event is set to begin on Monday, July 16.
